New recruits: Calibos, George and Monty
A Flat winner who caught the eye over hurdles at Huntingdon, a genuine sort from the Irish sales and a precocious French-bred.
Calibos (Boss)
A gelding by Twilight Son who won on the Flat over 1m2f, Calibos was bought in October 2025 to go hurdling. On his hurdling debut at Huntingdon he shaped with considerable promise to finish a close fourth. He’s owned by the Calibos Syndicate.
Takemethere (George)
George came from Ireland, where Jo bought him at the sales in July. He slipped up three from home in his only point-to-point when looking as if he might be in with a chance. He’s the kindest, most genuine lad and is aimed at a bumper this autumn. Supporters’ Club places are available.
Montecasino (Monty)
Monty is a French-bred by Born To Sea out of a Kapgarde mare who won and was placed consistently in France. He has been a quick learner and is very precocious. He’s owned by the Monty Syndicate, and there’s a 10% share available.
